It’s a long time since I wrote anything; too much to do over Christmas and New Year and then too many techy impediments.

I was sitting at my desk last weekend, when my OH, going for the papers, startled a  red squirrel, which I saw dashing along a ledge in my rockery. It re-appeared a few minutes later under the study window, and, notwithstanding my sneaking up on various overviews, it then disappeared again.

But next morning I was summoned into the dining room and there, on the window ledge….

Let me at that itch!
